President Lee Jae-myung's new administration has been launched with great momentum. In his inaugural address, Lee promised to be a government that protects the lives of the people, saying, “I will prioritize the livelihoods and economy of the people,” and clearly expressed his determination to unite the people by saying, “I will be the president of all the people.”

This commitment can serve as a starting point for our society to come together again and paint a new hope for the future.

Immediately after its launch, the new government will demonstrate its presence on the diplomatic stage by attending the G7 summit, and now faces the challenge of pursuing a balanced diplomacy centered on national interests amid the US-China conflict, the North Korean nuclear issue, and a complex international situation.

Meanwhile, domestically, there are high demands to resolve the livelihood and economic crises caused by high prices, high interest rates, and low growth, and to implement policies that improve the lives of the people.

It is the government's responsibility to quickly create jobs for young people, stabilize housing prices, and revive the economy for the common people.

We also expect the government to continue to promote physical education for the health of the people and the development of culture and arts to enhance the quality of life.

Healthy citizens are the foundation of a healthy country, and culture and arts are assets that enrich the emotions of the people and enhance the dignity of the nation.

Above all, national unity is crucial. We must move beyond regional, generational, and class conflicts and strive for a society where people understand and respect one another. Only when the government restores public trust through politics that prioritizes solidarity over confrontation and action over words can it truly succeed.

Now, the government must ask questions, listen, and take action. The people no longer desire eloquent rhetoric but concrete change and warm responsibility. We hope that the Lee Jae-myung administration will become a “government that walks together” that sincerely responds to the people's expectations.

This is because that path is the true leap forward for the Republic of Korea and the success of all its people.
