The leaders of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan convened for a trilateral summit in the historic city of Khujand on March 31, 2025.
President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon welcomed the visiting heads of state, His Excellency Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In his opening remarks, President Rahmon extended Navruz greetings and highlighted the holiday's enduring significance in promoting human values, mutual respect, and harmony.
He emphasized the strong bonds of friendship, good neighborliness, and shared development that unite the three nations. "Tajikistan highly values its relations with Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, founded on principles of equality, respect, and mutual interests," he stated, adding that strengthening trilateral ties remains a key foreign policy priority.
President Rahmon described the signing of the Treaty on the tri-border area as a "significant milestone."
He expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of his recent state visit to Kyrgyzstan and affirmed Tajikistan's commitment to fostering multifaceted cooperation.
Furthermore, President Rahmon welcomed the Treaty on Allied Relations with Uzbekistan, marking "a new chapter" in their bilateral relationship. He expressed optimism regarding the future of the strategic partnership and alliance.
During the conversation, the Heads of State emphasized the importance of signing the Historical Treaty on the tri-border area calling it another clear proof of the strong friendship and mutual support between the three countries.
The leaders stressed their readiness to continue to develop interstate relations in this spirit.
During the fruitful conversation, special attention was paid to the development of trade and economic cooperation.
In conclusion, President Rahmon expressed confidence that the Summit would further solidify friendship, good neighborliness, mutual understanding, respect, and constructive cooperation among the three nations and their people.
